IV Sedation, short for intravenous sedation, is administered by a thin, fine needle attached to a tube that is inserted into a vein either in the arm or back of the hand. This form of sedation is not designed to put you to sleep, but rather make you feel incredibly relaxed. You’re still awake and are able to follow the directions of your dentist. You can even still respond to questions. Learn More »
Oxide Sedation uses a clear, odorless gas called nitrous oxide, commonly known as "laughing gas" to calm and relax you. The gas is typically mixed with oxygen in a 70-30, 50-50, or 30-70 split. You simply breathe it in and start to feel the effects within about five minutes. Learn More »
